Here is some information about the gorgeous White Ark Seashell, AND,  the  Freshwater Pearl:
~0~
White Ark:
Ark clam is the common name for a family of small to large-sized saltwater clams or marine bivalve mollusks  in the family Arcidae. Ark clams vary both in shape and size. ... The shells of ark clams are often white or cream, but in some species, the shell is striped with, tinted with, or completely colored, a rich brown.
Natural Ark Shells belong to the shell family Arcidae. They are bivalves.
These shells are found in Western Atlantic coastal areas attaching to the sea floor.

Freshwater Pearl:
Blue Nile Freshwater Cultured Pearls

D’Glez Freshwater Pearls

  1. LUSTER - Very High bright reflections
  2. SURFACE - Very Slightly Spotted - Few visible blemishes on some pearls
  3. SHAPE - Slightly Off Round - Some pearls may be slightly less round and symmetrical
  4. COLOR - White pearl - Or slightly cream with rose overtones
The Freshwater pearl looks remarkably similar to the Akoya pearl, but Freshwater pearls are available for almost 1/5 the price of Akoya pearls. The only tradeoff is that Freshwater pearls are generally smaller, and less symmetrical. But the natural beauty is remarkably unique.  If you're looking for pearls at an outstanding value, Freshwater pearls is the way to go.

These pearls are grown in freshwater lakes, rivers, and ponds, predominately in China. Although many are white and resemble the akoya cultured pearls in shape and size, they can also be produced in various shapes and in an array of pastel colors. The white  pearls keep the traditional vintage look.
